Pacific Research Solutions understands your concerns about privacy and is therefore committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains our collection and use of information you supply when registering a product or visiting our Site. We encourage you to read our policy from time to time, since we do make changes and updates from time to time. Your use of our Site constitutes your acceptance of the Privacy Policy in effect on the date of your use.
This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Pacific Research Solutions does not own or control, or to people that Pacific Research Solutions does not employ or manage. Keeping your Information Secure
Keeping your personal information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We value your trust and handle your information with care. We will safeguard, according to established standards of security and confidentiality, any information our users share with us. Our employees access information about you when needed to maintain your accounts or otherwise meet your needs. We may also access information about you when considering a request from you for additional services or when exercising our rights under the law or any agreement with you. When Information is Collected and Not Collected
When you register your product with Pacific Research Solutions, we collect profile information from you through our registration form. This includes your name and address. We link your name and address to the product being registered and maintain that record. When you register a product we also ask you for certain optional demographic information like your zip code, age, income level or product preferences. This information is stored and used by Pacific Research Solutions for internal and market research purposes only.
Pacific Research Solutions may ask you for personal information at times, including (but not limited to) when you enter a sweepstakes, contest or promotion sponsored by Pacific Research Solutions and/or our partners; and when you report a problem with one of our sites, services, or products. Pacific Research Solutions also occasionally asks users to complete surveys that we use for internal research. Wherever Pacific Research Solutions collects personal information we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.
How Pacific Research Solutions Uses Your Information
Pacific Research Solutions will not sell, rent or share personally identifiable information about you to any third party unless we have previously informed you in disclosures or agreements, have been authorized by you, or are required to by law.
If we receive a subpoena or similar legal process demanding release of any information about you, we will generally attempt to notify you (unless we believe we are prohibited from doing so). If you do not want to participate in our surveys or if you are not interested in receiving other contacts from us you may check on the “I do not wish to receive emails from Pacific Research Solutions.” box when you register your product or make a purchase or call us at the number provided on the How to Contact Us section of this privacy policy.
If you express interest in receiving offers or information from Pacific Research Solutions, we may occasionally send you e-mail or postal mail about products and services that we feel may be of interest to you. Only Pacific Research Solutions (or agents working on behalf of Pacific Research Solutions and under confidentiality agreements) will send you these direct mailings and only if you indicated that you do not object to these offers.
At any time you can easily unsubscribe from Pacific Research Solution’s mailing list and no longer receive such offers and mailings.
We may share information with third parties which is based on our experiential or other data which does not personally identify any of our users. This may include such information as product or service preferences within certain sectors of our user base for instance.
Pacific Research Solutions may contact users by e-mail, through a general notice on the pages of Pacific Research Solutions, or by written communication delivered by mail to the users’ address on record in the Pacific Research Solutions registration database.
Pacific Research Solutions and Children
Pacific Research Solutions does not knowingly solicit data from children, and we do not knowingly market to children. Our terms and conditions of use require that any registration may only be made by those over the age of 16 and that any product purchases may only be made by those over the age of 18.
If we have reason to believe that information is being provided by a child under the age of 16 Pacific Research Solutions will not collect the information without parental consent or parental notification, which will include the opportunity for the parent to prevent the use of the information or to prevent the child’s participation in the activity. Without parental consent, online information will only be used to respond to an unsolicited request and for no other purposes.
